Variety In Vegetables

I continually try to incorporate variety into my diet so I often look at different ways to prepare the same foods. Broccoli is not one of my favorite vegetables but I know that is certainly beneficial to my body.


I listed a few of the benefits, believe me there are a lot more I could list:

1. Packed with vitamins and minerals

2. Helps reduce inflammation

3. Helps control blood sugar

4. Promotes healthy digestion and reduce constipation

5. Supports healthy immune system


So this week I found a fast and simple way to prepare broccoli and it was delicious. It was so good I had to prepare 3 different times because hubby kept eating it all!


Here is the recipe, try it!

Roasted Garlic Broccoli

Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.Toss the broccoli florets with the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper on a baking sheet. Spread them out and then roast, without stirring, until the edges are crispy and the stems are crisp tender, about 20 minutes. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Serve warm.
